Wittering Families Centre is a warm, welcoming family hub based at Wittering Primary School in the village of Wittering, near RAF Wittering on the Cambridgeshire border. Run in partnership with the school, RAF Wittering community support, SSAFA and local health visitors, the centre offers free, high-quality sessions for children aged 0-5 and their parents and carers, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
The weekly timetable includes Stay & Play, Bumps to Babies (0-18 months), a Childcare Provider Group, Sensory Chill, Just Play, Baby Massage courses and Wittering Whizzkids, plus a Special Needs Support Group. All sessions are free of charge; some courses (e.g. Baby Massage) are booked in advance via the Wittering Whizzkids or @WitteringFamiliesCentre Facebook pages. The centre also supports primary-age children through in-school programmes such as Time to Talk and Wellbeing Club.
Sessions run in term time in comfortable indoor rooms at the school — a relaxed space for babies and toddlers to play and for families to meet and get support. See the school website's Families Centre page or the @WitteringFamiliesCentre Facebook page for the current timetable and session times.
