King's House is a friendly community centre and conference venue on Ampthill Road, about a mile from Bedford town centre. It hosts the King's Playhouse toddler group for parents, carers and under-5s every Wednesday (10:00-11:30, term time only) at £1 per child with the first session free. The Ground Floor Coffee Shop (open Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30) is great for children, with baby changing facilities, toys, free Wi-Fi and outdoor seating. Free parking for 200+ cars, wheelchair access throughout the building, and plenty of green space.
