Merlin Golf Course (now trading as Mawgan Porth Golf Club) is a family-run, 18-hole heathland golf course set on the North Cornish coast between Newquay and Padstow, with sea views from the hilltop. It is designed to suit all standards of golfer, so families and holidaymakers of all abilities can enjoy a round together. The club offers discounted junior green fees (under 18s), children's coaching with the resident PGA professional, and low-cost Saturday junior group lessons, making it an accessible place for kids to try golf. On site there is a 5-bay driving range, a pro shop, and a clubhouse bar and kitchen serving food from 8.30am, with a patio overlooking the 18th green. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and on-site accommodation is available for families. Booking tee times in advance is recommended.
