Cwm Tydu (Cwmtydu), known locally as Seals Bay, is a quiet pebble and shingle cove on the Ceredigion coast path between New Quay and Llangrannog. Children enjoy exploring the rock pools, and the River Tydu forms a shallow pond at the top of the beach that is popular for paddling in summer. Resident grey seals rest on the shore and bottlenose dolphins can sometimes be spotted in Cardigan Bay. A restored lime kiln marks the back of the beach, and there are toilets, a small café and parking close by. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year. There is no lifeguard service, so take extra care around the water.
