The Peak Sports Village (The PEAK) is Stirling's flagship leisure centre, operated by the Active Stirling charitable trust on behalf of Stirling Council at Stirling Sports Village on Forthside Way, close to the city centre.
For families, the big draw is the swimming: three indoor pools including a 25m main pool for recreational and lane swimming, a teaching pool (shallower at weekends, 0.9m) described as 'perfect for families with younger children', and a confidence pool for little ones under 8. Weekend Pool Fun Sessions add an 18m inflatable assault course, The Whirligig, in the main pool every Sunday 1.30pm-3pm (book in person on the day). The main pool must be booked in advance online or via the Active Stirling app, up to 7 days ahead.
Beyond the water there is plenty more: two ice rinks with public skating sessions and learn-to-skate lessons for ages 5-16, a climbing wall with routes graded 4-7b (public sessions, courses and try-climbing), PEAK Bounce inflatable play, a multi-purpose sports hall (badminton, pickleball, basketball, table tennis), outdoor 5-a-side pitches, a large gym and two new group fitness studios that opened after a major redevelopment completed in April 2026.
Prices are pay-as-you-go or via membership: public swim is GBP7 for adults, GBP4.50 for juniors, GBP6 concessions and free for under 5s; members swim free. Climbing is GBP12 adults / GBP7 juniors, public skating GBP10 adults / GBP6.50 juniors, and PEAK Bounce is GBP4.50. A day pass covering gym, swim and sauna costs GBP18. Memberships start at GBP34 a month for adults and GBP29 for juniors.
Inclusion is central to the venue: SportAbility climbing and ice-skating sessions run for children, young people and adults with disabilities or additional support needs, with carers attending free on the ice. Children's holiday clubs, preschool swim lessons and kids' activity classes run throughout the year.
