Vertical Descents is an outdoor adventure operator based at Inchree Falls, Onich, just south of Fort William in the Scottish Highlands (with further bases at Kinlochleven and Glencoe). They run guided 3-hour sessions led by qualified instructors: canyoning down the waterfalls of Inchree Falls (jumping, sliding, climbing and abseiling - suitable for all abilities, ages 8+), Scotland's only Via Ferrata climbing route up the side of the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall in Kinlochleven, white water funyakking, river tubing and river bugging on the River Leven, plus gorge walking, coasteering and white water rafting. Family activity packages are available with special family rates, and most activities have a 'dip in and out' option so smaller children can enjoy the experience at their own level. Children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All safety equipment (wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids) is provided. Booking in advance via the website's online booking system is required.
