Loch Morlich Watersports

Loch Morlich Watersports is a family-run activity centre based at the Boathouse on Loch Morlich beach, inside Glenmore Forest Park in the Cairngorms National Park. The centre offers canoeing (canoes seat up to 3, ideal for families), single-person kayaking, stand up paddleboarding (SUP), sailing, Katakanu hire for groups of 2-6, and mountain bike tours around Glenmore Forest. All lessons and trips start with a safety brief and equipment, wetsuits and buoyancy aids are included. Sailing courses include junior courses for ages 8-12 and adult courses for 13+. Families can book online in advance or at the Boathouse on the day (subject to availability), and dogs are welcome on the canoes and row boats. The Boathouse Cafe upstairs serves homemade food and drinks with views over the loch and Cairngorm mountains, and there are changing rooms, toilets and lockers at the centre. Loch Morlich beach itself is the highest beach in Scotland at around 300 metres above sea level, with golden sands and mountain scenery.
