York Bird of Prey Centre opened its new purpose-built home on York Road at Easingwold in 2026, after 20 years in the area. The centre is home to 50 birds of prey from around 40 different species, with two flying displays every day. Families can watch the displays (be prepared to get involved - audience participation is encouraged), meet and handle the birds under supervision, and learn about the birds from the friendly falconers. The centre has a café serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and confectionery, plus a gift shop. Hawk Walks, Owl Experiences, Falconry Courses and other experience packages run throughout the year and must be booked in advance. Entry tickets can be bought on the door or online.
