Tamworth Assembly Rooms is the town's historic Grade II listed theatre on Corporation Street, opened in 1889 and brought into the 21st century by a recent £5m refurbishment. The programme includes pantos, family shows, children's theatre, youth theatre productions, comedy, tribute acts, films and community events. Children are welcome, with children's shows during school holidays and concessions for children at selected performances.
