The venue hosts drama productions for adults alongside youth theatre for those aged 8–21, a structured weekly creative arts course for younger people with learning disabilities, and Heydays, the largest and longest-running arts programme for older people in UK theatre. The playhouse has a cafe and bars on site. The venue is committed to accessibility and offers various access performances including audio description, BSL interpretation, captions and touch tours.
