Tolethorpe Hall is home to the Rutland Open Air Theatre, run by the Stamford Shakespeare Company. The venue overlooks the attractive Rutland countryside and stages a summer season of theatre productions — recent and upcoming shows include Shakespeare plays like Twelfth Night alongside comedies such as One Man, Two Guvnors and Treasure Island. The hall has a restaurant on site. A Kids Week runs during the season, and there is also an evening murder mystery with fine dining for over-18s.

Summer open-air theatre season (roughly June-August). Grounds closed to the public outside performance times and outside the season.
