Kingsurf Surf School is a family-run, BSA and Surfing GB approved surf school operating at Mawgan Porth beach near Newquay, Cornwall since 1997. Based opposite their own privately licensed stretch of beach — and the only surf school on that beach front — they offer fun, professional and safe surfing lessons for all ages and abilities, from one-off taster sessions to week-long progressor courses.
Choose from beginner and intermediate surf lessons (from £45 per person, lasting 2.5 hours with all equipment included), family surf lessons (from £30 per person), private lessons (from £110) and group lessons (from £25 per person). Kids can also join the KingSurf Grom's Surf Club, which returns each year offering surf lessons for children in Cornwall.
All coaches are Surfing England trained and qualified beach lifeguards, and community responders for the RNLI. The base offers warm, dry changing facilities. Partnership wetsuits from C-skins keep lessons warm, allowing the school to teach all through the winter months.
Surf school operates all summer with limited pre-season availability, and continues teaching through the winter months.
