Active Reality runs multiplayer free-roam VR sessions where groups play together in the same physical space wearing wireless headsets. Over 30 games are available, from competitive shooters like Cyber Clash to family games such as Kraken Island. Sessions run for groups of 2–6 people, or larger parties of 6–12 for VR parties. A Games Master helps with game selection and rules on the day. Children must be at least 9 years old; those under 16 need a parent or guardian present. The free-roam format eliminates motion sickness. Glasses wearers can keep them on.
