Towngate Theatre has been entertaining Basildon for 30 years with drama, musicals, classical concerts, comedy and panto. The theatre occupies a prominent position on Saint Martin's Square at the heart of Basildon, 6 minutes' walk from Basildon Station with parking nearby. Inside are multiple performance spaces including the Main Auditorium, Mirren Studio and Gielgud Room. There's a café bar serving coffee, cake, pre-theatre meals and cocktails.
