The SEC Armadillo (formerly the Clyde Auditorium) is one of Glasgow's most recognisable landmarks — a striking, armadillo-shaped concert hall designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 1997 on the banks of the River Clyde. Part of the Scottish Event Campus, its 3,000-seat auditorium regularly hosts family entertainment alongside concerts, comedy and ballet: children's live stage shows (including the Be Like Blippi tour), family-friendly ballet productions such as The Nutcracker and Snow White, and festive family performances. Doors open around an hour before show time, tickets are booked in advance via the SEC website, and the venue is fully accessible with wide entrances, lifts to every level and accessible seating in the Stalls. The campus offers paid multi-storey parking (10 Stobcross Road), cafes and restaurants, and the venue provides sensory backpacks and sunflower lanyards for visitors with additional needs.
