Strathclyde Country Park lies within 400 hectares of countryside in the valley of the River Clyde, on the outskirts of Motherwell. Run by North Lanarkshire Council, this free-to-access country park is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland. It offers adventure play areas, a beach and watersports at Strathclyde Loch, cycle paths, walks and picnic spots, and sits alongside M&D's Scotland's Theme Park.
Year-round events incl. rowing regattas, cycling and running events, firework display. Watersports on the loch reopen Spring 2026.
