Slimbridge is a wetland nature reserve where you can spot wild and captive birds, including flamingos. The centre offers canoe safaris on the water, pond dipping, an adventure play area, and a Summer Walkway. You can visit Scott House Museum, Sir Peter Scott's home where he founded the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. There are talks and tours led by experts, a wetland theatre and aviary, and viewing areas including the Rushy Lake webcam. Seasonal events include the Dragonfly Festival.

Opening times vary by season - see hoursNote. Summer (Apr-Oct, until end of BST): 9.30am-5.30pm. Autumn/winter (last Sun Oct - Jan): 9.30am-4.30pm. Feb-Mar: 9.30am-5pm. Closed Christmas Day.
