Skomer Island is a stunning wildlife haven off the coast of Pembrokeshire, home to one of the UK's most important seabird colonies including thousands of puffins, Manx shearwaters, guillemots and razorbills. The island is a National Nature Reserve managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. Visitors can take boat trips from Martins Haven to explore the island's spectacular scenery, wildflowers and abundant birdlife. The island is renowned for its puffin colony and offers a unique wildlife experience suitable for families and nature lovers.
Puffins start arriving in mid-April. They are present from May-July. The first ones start leaving in mid-July and all Puffins are gone by the end of July. No landings can take place from October to April. In September we are also closed to all day visitors and private landers on Fridays.
