The River Tweed is one of Scotland's great rivers, flowing 97 miles through the Scottish Borders. It offers family-friendly canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and riverside walks. The Tweed Valley Canoe Trail, launched in spring 2024, is the first official canoe trail in south Scotland, stretching 30 miles from Stobo to Tweedbank. The river passes through historic towns including Peebles, Galashiels, Melrose and Kelso.
