BattleKart is an electric go-kart experience that blends real driving with video game-style racing. You drive actual karts on a track in a darkened hall while game modes and circuits are projected onto the floor. Your kart has sensors that interact with the projected elements: pick up a bonus square and a rocket appears on your dashboard to fire at opponents, or trigger oil slicks to slow them down. Six game modes are available—BattleRace, BattleSnake, BattleColor, BattleVirus, BattleFoot and BattlePool—and sessions last around 15 minutes, customisable across multiple rounds. An anti-collision system brakes automatically to avoid crashes, so no helmet is needed. Minimum height is 4'9". The venue has 12 karts and can accommodate groups, with private-hire rooms available for parties. Food and drink are served, including hand-stretched pizzas, dirty fries and cocktails.
