Sutton Park is a 2,400-acre National Nature Reserve six miles north of Birmingham city centre, one of Europe's largest urban parks. The landscape spans open heathland, woodlands, 7 lakes, wetlands and marshes, with cattle and wild ponies grazing freely. The park is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a scheduled ancient monument. A visitor centre near the town gate entrance houses toilets, baby changing facilities, a gift shop and interpretive displays.
