Go Ape Dalkeith is a high ropes course set in Dalkeith Country Park's 1,000 acres of ancient woodlands, gardens and historic buildings just outside Edinburgh. You can climb sky-high platforms and zip across the River Esk on courses suited to ages 4–10 and up, or try Archery Tag — like dodgeball but with bows and foam-tipped arrows — and Stumped, a ten-puzzle logic game. The site has a shop, restaurant and café in the nearby Restoration Yard, a play area (the Fort Douglas adventure playground can be pre-booked), picnic benches, and walking and cycling trails through the park.
